Academy Classes

The Dublin Irish Festival Academy is designed to introduce students to the arts, culture, dance and music of Ireland. Whether you want to learn to dance a jig or play the Irish fiddle, the classes will get you ready for the 2008 Dublin Irish Festival. All classes are for ages 12 and up and will take place at the Dublin Community Recreation Center.

After you login Select > Search/Inquire > Activity > Listing, it will display a page with all the current offerings.

At the top of the page, enter the activity number (see the number for each class next to the class name above) and then click search.

Dublin Irish Festival Academy 2008

  • Age limit – 12 and over for all classes               

  • All classes held Wednesday, July 30 and Thursday, July 31 from
    6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Dublin Community Recreation Center

  • Beginner/Intermediate classes are $50, and Advanced classes are $75
  • Advanced music classes are intended for those who can already play their instrument to some extent and are ready to learn Irish style, technique and repertoire. 
  • Students taking intermediate classes, or country set dancing should come eager to learn
