International Festival and Events Association (IFEA) Recognizes the Dublin Irish Festival with 10 Awards

DUBLIN, Ohio (Sept. 28, 2009) – The Dublin Irish Festival received 10 International Festival and Events Association Haas & Wilkerson Pinnacle Awards for the Dublin Irish Festival.  The awards were presented at IFEA’s 54th Annual Convention and Expo held Sept. 21-25 in Indianapolis, IN. 

The IFEA/Haas & Wilkerson Pinnacle Awards competition recognizes outstanding festival and events promotions and media initiatives.  Entries are judged on criteria including creativity, clarity of message, design, overall appeal and measurable results. 
 
“We are honored to be recognized again by our peers in the festival and events industry for our creativity and innovation,” said Alison LeRoy, Events Administrator for the City of Dublin.  “We are especially proud of the awards we share with Wendy’s and Old Bag of Nails.  Those awards recognize their commitment to the Festival and the Dublin Community as a whole.”

Silver - Best Ad series: Puff Daddy, Fiddle Stix and Beat Box
Silver - Best Invitation: Round Up
Silver - Best New Promotion: Dublin Irish Festival Stout
Bronze - Best Television Promotion:  Labored Caber Toss
Bronze - Best Individual Sponsor Program: Old Bag of Nails
Bronze - Best Other Merchandise:  Little Pot O’Gold Onsie
