Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Andrew Grene, twin brother of long-time Festival friend & entertainer, Gregory Grene of the Prodigals. Andrew was a dedicated member of the UN delegation in Haiti who lost his life in last week’s devastating earthquake.
For more information about Andrew’s life and work, see this article in the Irish Times.com

On my Christmas list for this year is one outstanding intern for the new year. We are looking for someone who can work part time during the year and also full-time during the summer. Since we are part of the City of Dublin, our rules are pretty strict. Applicants must be enrolled in college and must have at least Junior standing – sorry no high school students or recent graduates allowed.
This is a fun internship, students learn a ton and work a ton. Ideally we are looking for someone who has had some event experience either through another internship or through volunteer activities.
If you or someone you know are interested - you can apply online here.

Around Halloween (which you can tell by the interesting outfit choices in the video) a traveling Ford salesman/comedian visited our fair city to ask for the key to the City. But we wouldn’t give it up easily – our Mayor, Marilee Chinnici-Zuercher gave him the task of teaching people how to do an Irish jig – you can see how successful he is in the video below.
