St. Pats
The days around St. Pats are a great time to see both local and international touring Irish Bands. It really helps people around our offices get in the mood for Irish Festival – just a mere 149 days away.
A lot of time, we get the question, why isn’t the Irish Festival in March? – well, the 20 degree weather we’ve been having is one big reason – while we can’t guarantee perfect weather the first weekend in August – at least we know it won’t snow!
The biggest reason DIF is in August is the Columbus Feis. The Festival started as an after-party for the Feis way back in 1988. There is an international board that sets Feis dates, and ours is the first Saturday in August. This is also the reason this year we actually start in July since Friday is the 31st. I’m sure there are lots more out there, so keep your eyes and ears open

We (the city of Dublin) should think about having a Dublin Irish Festival Lite for St. Patrick’s Day. Kind of like a preview to the Festival in Aug.
